About Juliana
After completing a psychology degree and then a post graduate diploma in counselling, I began work as an alcohol counsellor in London. This led to working with the homeless who had mental health, drug & alcohol problems. I trained in auricular acupuncture in 2000 and then began practicing in the day-centre where I worked in Brighton. The client group had many very complex needs. I was pleased to see how well this client group took to the treatment and was impressed by the changes that occurred in people where there had been very little change in so long. For example, a street drinker gave up smoking, an opiate addict ceased taking his prescription pain-killers, many reported much better sleep, temperaments were more even and clients who had regular treatments became motivated to change and move forward.
After taking a break from work to have children I decided to set up an auricular acupuncture clinic for people to give them a space to relax whilst receiving a treatment. Most recently I have worked with individuals, seen clients at an introductory home based clinic and given treatments to women from a local mother & toddler group. Once again I have been very pleased with how clients respond to the treatment. So, whether you just want time out to relax, or feel out of balance with yourself, or have a longer term concern, why not try out this cheap and accessible treatment for yourself.
